Helloooo again.
So right now I'm sitting in my hotel room in Greensboro. Which is actually AN HOUR from the track in Martinsville. Why did Customer Hosting decide that we should drive AN HOUR both ways to and from the track each day??? Not entirely sure about this one.
ALSO my room is in the back dungeon. I literally had to walk through doors that looked like fire escapes and had to ask THREE bellmen how to find my room. Slightly concerned about this...
But the room itself is nice and I have a view of the pool (which always makes me feel like I'm somewhere tropical....even though it's about 50 degrees and raining)
Plans for the day? Not much. Watching college basketball tonight (GO VILLANOVA!) and sleep. I am feeling lots better due to The Drug Concoction that the dr gave me. Excellent method of fighting The Plague.
In other news, I just ate of peice of cake that Sarah packed for me. We made a strawberry cake earlier this week and didn't finish it so she put some in a container for me to take with me to Greensboro. Which is really lovely and delightful because the cake is DELICIOUS. However, I didn't think about the fact that I would need utensils to eat the cake. So I got to my hotel room and was dying for a peice and spent like 10 minutes SCOURING the room for something to eat with. It came down to scooping the lid of the container into the cake and eating bites like that, or using the coffee stirrers as chopsticks. Good thing I've eaten a lot of sushi recently. Bad thing the coffee stirrers were the flat wooden ones.

So today I finally went to the doctor to investigate this Sickness of Death that I have had since Las Vegas. And by "I finally went" I mean my old and new bosses conspired together and called and made me an appt so I would actually go. It's not that I hate doctors, just that I feel my body should be strong enough to overcome the common cold.
Which, in reality, it probably is strong enough to overcome the common cold. What it is NOT strong enough to overcome is bronchitis, pneumonia, and a sinus infection all wrapped into what shall henceforth be known as The Plague. When the doctor realized I had The Plague she was slightly taken aback. Especially when I informed her that yes, I had been going to work since I had gotten ill, and yes, I still went out until 4am this weekend. Taken aback may be the wrong word - shocked and confused would probably be appropriate.
Needless to say, she gave me about FIFTEEN prescriptions (which I will not be getting all filled...do I really need prescription strength cough medicine???), A SHOT IN MY BUTT WHICH NOW HURTS LIKE HECK, and made me breathe out of a nebulizer for about 10 minutes. I am now shaking (from the steroid shot), coughing like crazy (nebulizer), and cannot go to sleep when I get home because I must go to the pharmacy for drugs (SEE DR. LAYMAN!? YOU'RE THE CAUSE FOR MY NO REST). However a large part of the cause for no rest is my job....seeing as how I was told to immediately go home from the drs office and go to bed (I, of course, rushed back to the office to continue working and still have not left at 6:15 [maybe I should stop blogging and go home??]) and was told to take off until Thursday (rest assured, I will be in the office all this week).
Anyway. Much more to update on our GLORIOUS weekend. It was truly something special. But I am going to take my own advice, finish working on this budget, and then peace outtttt.

Gentlemen start your engines

I swear that in NO WAY will this blog always reference NASCAR....just about 80% of the time :)
Additionally, I swear that in NO WAY will this blog even remotely compare to the humor and hilarity of Alice's blog but I wanted to keep you guys updated on my life! I'm terrible at keeping in touch and what is more fun than reading a blog when you're procrastinating at work/school??
I try to post pictures on The Book but seeing as how I'm friends with most of my bosses, I like to avoid the awkward story telling that accompanies the pictures (like all the pictures of Anna and I the night we got hammered in Vegas? The night she fell asleep on my toilet and I LEFT HER THERE because I was too intoxicated to think that she should be in bed? The night that I got 2 hours of sleep, woke up still drunk, threw up after I showered, then proceeded to straighten my hair and go to work? Yeah that night). Somehow I don't know that our Group Director would find that amusing...
Back to the task at hand. I have nothing exciting going on in my life right now. I am sitting on the couch REPEATEDLY checking March Madness scores so I can pray and pray that I win our office bracket of $600. I would even settle for third place (a cool $100). If only I actually KNEW college basketball and could muster together a decent bracket....
Also I am listening to the new Ne-Yo song "Mad" and really loving it. Peterson and I had a glorious discussion last night in which we talked about how cute it was that he was saying "I don't want to go to bed mad at you. I don't want you to go to bed mad at me." Then we realized that if a guy said that to us we would either A) Laugh at him or B) Tell him I was "FINE going to bed mad at him....watch me." CHARMING
Alright. Off to watch more basketball/the Nationwide race. Maybe a nap to get over the Illness of Death contracted from sleepness nights in Vegas.
